Mysterious Fire The year was 1995.again i write about this.. Why 1995???Why is it special??Well plenty of things happened that year.Some which I can tell,some which I cant.... What happend that year???Let me recall.ummm yes,from the world piont of view it was the 50th anniversery of the end of World WarII,the most destructive war ever..And there was the 50th anniversery of the United Nations. And from the school point of veiw it was the centenary year....Those of you who missed it ,well you all missed the greatest thing that has happend in Mount Hermon... Oh i forgot i was talking about the fir isnt it..That's was the topic is about. It was some time after puja holidays in mid October when plenty of things were happening in school...The practices for the celebration was in full throttle...The whole school was involved,there was very slim chance of bunking...well i managed to truant myself sometimes... One day Mr Wadkar(our loving warden of round building)called all the boys of classes 6 7 8 down to the dorms..As soon as we got there we found some thind serious had happened.Without hesitating he told us there was a fire in the ground floor of the Round building..Some mattreses and a bed had been burnt .More suprisingly the doors and the windows was shut ...except that a window pane was broken...But it was immposible for anybody to throw a match stick through it because it was on top...It was through that broken window pane smoke fumes was seen by some class 7 boys who had been the the dorms earlier....Had the boys not seen that,round building would have been burnt to the ground.. Mount Hermon would have lost her most prestigious architectural feature.
