Ye Ole Days!! It´s been quite a while since i´ve visited School and yet even after such a long time span of being away from school ...i still remember the first day at school and the last too. The laughter in the halls and corridors still echo in my ears. The sunshine and the weather changes....somehow it always had its sense of beauty. The majestic Kanchenjunga and the himalayan range ...i sometimes yearn to go back to those days when it was always full of fun and surprises.....even the smallest of gestures meant the world to us.The class/chapel plays, major productions, elocution, music competitons and every co-cirricular activity was like our daily life. Looking back at those times,at times of my downs, it always gives me a sense of pride and happiness.I´m very thankful to all those teachers, didis, dajus who made me the way i am ....all my successes and my achievements in my life are due to the fact that i am a hermonite and i´ve learnt how a person should be.The cornerstones of our school have paved our lives and our futures...... As i see old schools and buildings i always remember my schooldays and start to explain my friends, what it was like, an ordinary day in MH....and to their dismay some of them have heard it like a thousand time ..... :-)) Sadly one can never bring those old days back...the only thing we can do is bask in the warmth of those wonderful memories ...which we have all shared in school . The Motto : Non Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus, has proven to be true and we have all learned not for school but for our lives. Hail Mount Hermon By : ashish Graduated : 2001 Date : 12/4/2006 8:39 |
