Mrs Rongong

It was 1969,   I was 7 years old, couldn't go home for half term holidays as home was in South India and I couldn't afford to fly ,so I was stuck in a huge dorm all by myself with Mrs Williams to look after me.It was during those breaks that I discovered much to my horror that Mrs. Williams took her teeth out at night!!
Mrs Rongong noticing that I was alone would take me home for the weekends and other times, she gave me a little patch of garden to grow whatever I wanted in it and I would hope that my friends who would come back from their holidays would be jealous of my little garden and the corn I had grown!
I soon left Mt. Hermon to go to Hebron school in OOty, and was never able to get in touch with Mrs. Rongong again but 37 years later In 1998 when I migrated to Australia with my family, I would often pray that I might meet Mrs. Rongong and thank her for all that she had done, but I had no way of knowing where in this huge continent she might be. One day three months aafter coming to Sydney I went to work in a nursing home and got talking to one of the patient's relative, after I finished work she offered to give me a lift home even though she was living in the other direction, and we got talking. The first sentence she said was,
"You look like you are from India ,you know I had a friend who used to teach in India, her name was Mrs. Rongong, but ofcourse India is such a huge country you wouldn't have ever met her"
Well she nearly hit the kerb because I gave such a loud shriek and told her that ofcourse I knew Mrs. Rongong, unfornutately she also told me that Mrs. Rongong was no longer alive.
I have never again met this lady who told me about Mrs. Rongong but I really thanked God that He had sent the only person in Sydney who could have told me about her, is it a coincidence? No , it was an answer to a prayer.
